As we head into another school year, I’m pleased with how far we’ve come, both in the evolution of the school and in the continuing fulfillment of our mission. It is a joy greater than I can describe to watch our students flourishing each day in an educational program and setting designed from the ground up to encourage them as human beings, individually and as members of a community, and to find new and creative ways to escort them into the rich world of academic learning and the arts based not on some generic textbook and the dry memorization of facts but on their unique interests, learning styles, capacities, talents, and timings. Again and again, we see our fundamental belief confirmed—that education at its best depends upon respect—including mutual respect for each other, students and staff alike, and in the self-respect that comes naturally when learning is exciting, relevant, and fun!

If your child is returning to Loga Springs this fall, we welcome you back with open arms. We have some wonderful programs lined up, and look forward to getting under way. We’ll be adding to our teaching staff, starting a K-3 curriculum, expanding our after-school class offerings, and much more. And if this is your first year with us, we welcome you and your child into our community enthusiastically, as we have so much to share with you. Those of you who are coming out of a public school experience may find it hard to believe that our students often “hit the ground running” when they get here in the morning, and often choose to stay after, because they’re engrossed in a creative project, or simply because our school is such a friendly place, no one runs out the door when a bell rings. We invite you to be involved with us in creating an indelibly beautiful and deeply rewarding experience for your child and the other children entrusted to us at our “little red schoolhouse,” every day of the school year.

Best,
Karen
